Volunteer Information


Where and when can you help?

We will have one main aid station and at least four on-course judges to ensure racers stay on course and do not cut the loop. All judge stations require the volunteer to hike into his/her post and remain in the elements for multiple hours until the race cut-off times. You should be capable of hiking in/out on your own as well as sustaining your own food and water from approximately 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, depending on your post. See the course map here.

In exchange for your time and generosity, you will receive a raffle ticket to win some great prizes, a complimentary race souvenir (TBD), and the chance to be a part of this unique event.

Terms & Agreements

NATIVE ENDURANCE MOUNT MANSFIELD DOUBLE UP RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT")

In consideration of participating in the 2019 "MOUNT MANSFIELD DOUBLE UP," I represent that I understand the nature of this Activity and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such Activity.

I acknowledge that if I believe event conditions are unsafe, I will immediately discontinue participation in the Activity.

I fully understand that this Activity involves risks of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death, which may be caused by my own actions, or inactions, those of others participating in the event, the conditions in which the event takes place, or the negligence of the "releasees" named below; and that there may be other risks either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the Activity.

I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue Native Endurance, LLC, Stowe Mountain Resort, Vail Resorts, the State of Vermont, the University of Vermont, the Green Mountain Club, their respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Activity takes place, (each considered one of the "RELEASEES" herein) from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the "releasees" or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations; and I further agree that if, despite this release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save, and hold harmless each of the releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as the result of such claim.

I understand there may be an event photographer, and I grant to Native Endurance and all Releasees, their representatives, and employees the right to take photographs of me before, during, and after the event on the event's race day. I authorize Native Endurance, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I agree that Native Endurance may use such photographs of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

I understand that the course loop may change at any time due to weather and other uncontrollable conditions, and I am aware that the event organizers have the right to move the course to nearby terrain if the scheduled course is deemed unsatisfactory by race directors. I acknowledge there will be no refunds given if the course loops are changed.

I understand event organizers have the right to postpone the race to Sunday, August 4, 2019 due to unforeseen weather events and/or any other reason that may jeopardize the conditions of the trails. I acknowledge there will be no refunds issued if the event cannot be held due to weather or any other uncontrollable circumstances.

I have read this RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it electronically and have electronically signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect. I understand that checking the box below is the same thing as signing my name on a piece of paper.
